Appointment of Trustees
Trustees are appointed and retire when change is required by members.
Governing document
The Trust is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SC10) and members ofthe Rotary Club of the Angus Glens are in control of its conduct in accordance with its Constitution dated 1 September 2023.
Charitable Purposes
The purposes as recorded in the Trust Deed are to apply the income and capital to, or for, the reliefof the poor and needy or for such other charitable purposes as the Club shall direct.
Activities and Achievements
In the year, we continued to help many needy causes, locally, nationally and internationally, both financially and with services from Rotarians.
The Club held very successful fundraising activities which raised large sums of money and carried out local community projects for the health and education of residents. Internationally we also supported projects promoted by Rotary international.
Over the next year, we will continue the fundraising activities and community, national and international projects.
Trustees Remuneration
The Trustees did not receive any remuneration or expenses during the year.
Reserves
At the beginning of the year funds were transferred from Unrestricted Funds to Restricted Funds for specific projects.
As a result of fundraising and donation activities during the year the reserves at the year end are: - Unrestricted Funds £12,282 (2023 £5,676) and Restricted Funds £14,357 (2023 £7,880), a total of £26,639 (2023 £13,556)
No grants were given during the year only donations.
The Trustees consider the reserves to be ofa size that the Trust can continue to support its objects over the next year.

Independent examiner's Report to the Members of The Rotary Club of the Angus Glens
I report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 30 June 2024.
Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
The Charity’s Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustees investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The Charity Trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1)(d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under Section 44(1)(c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Independent Examiner's Statement
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent Examiner's Statement
In the course of my examination no matter has come to my attention.
- Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respects the requirements: to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations.
