A new backpack filled with new comfort and personal care items for children entering foster care. When children are removed from their home most of them will either have the clothes they stsnd in or a carrierthin bag of their belongings. we arc tying to break this practice. Since many of the children entering the fostering system have been neglected or abused, we will ty to giv¢ them a sense of self-respect by providing brand new it¢ms which they can call their own. And the backpack will be theirs to keep forever. Trustees, Annual Report (cont) Year ended 31 December 2024 Achievements and PerfornianLY Last year 35 bags were distributed to children across West Dunbartonshire, the br¢akdown being foster car¢: 19 Kinship care: 3 Residential care:13. We were able to run a Christmas party in our local soft play for over 40 Childre￿ and we gave out 44 £20 cin¢ma gift vouchers to children ov¢r the age of I l in foster care. We were also able to purchase three translation devices for West Dunbartonsbire residential houses and two devices for foster care to SUPPK)rt unac£ompani¢d children and their cattrs. Financial Review Our total income last year w&8 £44,723. Th i s was m* by grants and donations over the course of the year. Expenditure £1 8,154 Sev¢ral factors contributed to this. The lease of unit 5, alm system and utilities £10.754 and general stock for our bags.
