Objectives: 4 To advance environmental protection in Galloway by working proactively in the following areas RESEARCH ? to understand the industry, the companies, the legal process, the regulatory framework and any individual proposals that come forward INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION - to provide the community, other stakeholders and all interested parties with information concerning mining, relevant companies and proposals in the Galloway area REPRESENTATION ? to represent and co-ordinate the views and findings of Galloway Mines Action Group to all stakeholders and interested parties and collate and disseminate information to allow the community and other stakeholders to form views and make their own representations RESPONSES ? to respond to individual applications as they materialise
