Structure, Governance and Management
Constitution
The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (a SCIO). It was registered in its current legal form on 29 July 2022.
Appointment of trustees
Charity Trustees hold regular meetings, and generally control the activities of the organisation. Trustees are elected at the annual general meeting . There must be a minimum of four and a maximum of twelve trustees.
Objectives and Activities
Charitable purposes
To advance citizenship, community development and volunteering within and for the benefit of the community of Inverkeiyhing by delivering a diverse variety of services and initiatives without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinion with the object of improving their conditions of life, through volunteer led center management, service delivery, fundraising and awareness raising.
Achievements and Performance
Despite ongoing delays to the project going live the Board has continued to meet, and employed its first member of staff in July 2024 as a Volunteer coordinator. Despite the building not being open yet they have recruited a number of volunteers and made connections with local organisations. The Board has continued to explore new funding opportunities, but no new funding has been secured this year.
Reserves policy
The trustees’ policy is to retain 3 months worth of normal running costs in order to meet commitments and to cover any unexpected expenditure. Three months expenditure stands at £2854. The trustees will continue to monitor the position.
Small company provisions
This report has been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies entitled to the small companies exemption.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees on the unaudited financial statements of The Inverkeithing Town House SCIO
In accordance with the engagement letter dated I have compiled the financial statements of the charity which comprise the Profit and Loss Account, the statement of balances and the related notes from the accounting records and information and explanations you have given to me.
This report is made to the charity's trustees, as a body, in accordance with the terms of our engagement. My work has been undertaken so that I might compile the financial statements that I have been engaged to compile, report to the charity's trustees that I have done so and state those matters that I have agreed to state to them in this report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the charity and the charity's trustees, as a body, for my work or for this report.
I have carried out this engagement in accordance with technical guidance issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and have compiled with the ethical guidance laid down by the Institute relating to members undertaking the compilation of financial statements.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent examiner's statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention
