Our focus has been to provide local young people aged 11-25 with free, accessible, and sustainable opportunities to become active and stay active in their local community through rowing and accessibility to utilise their local waterway, the Forth and Clyde Canal, and surrounding green spaces including the Hamiltonhill Claypits Local Nature Reserve. Over 20% of our participants are from ethnic minority communities and 10% have additional support needs.

Respective responsibilities of board and examiner.
The board/committee is responsible for the preparation of the accounts for Firhill Youth Project . It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required by law. The personal qualifications of the independent examiners must be of a professional nature but as the turnover is under £1 million a chartered accountant is not required.
Basis of Independent Examiner’s Statement.
My examination is carried out in accordance with Legal Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by Firhill Youth Project and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the board concerning any such matters.

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention
