We exist to strengthen the capabilities of the research and governance communities in Scotland to engage with each other, to meaningfully collaborate, and to make decisions that centre equity. We do this by working with key stakeholders across the Scottish and UK research-policy landscape to: 1) develop and deliver learning events, resources and provide other forms of support, 2) co-create and disseminate opportunities to engage, 3) develop, maintain and support networks and relationships, and 4) innovate knowledge mobilisation practice.

Objectives: 4 The organisation's purposes are: (a)The advancement of science and research through encouraging its greater use in public policymaking. (b)The advancement of education by improving policy outcomes and community wellbeing more generally as a result of linking policymaking and policy processes more closely to research evidence. (c)The advancement of citizenship by encouraging researchers to engage more fully with policymaking processes. (d)The encouragement of equality and diversity by supporting new voices from research to engage with policy.
