**What the charity does:** BACC was set up to promote and support climate care in the ML12 6 postcode area. We do this by holding regular mobile repair cafes in community centres and village and church halls across the area to reduce landfill and increase the lifespan of electrical and other household goods, toys, jewellery, furniture, garden equipment etc. We also provide professional home energy assessments, freely available to any residents of the area for the three years of our funding, and thermal imaging of hot and cold spots in homes, provided free of charge by our trained volunteers. These initiatives reduce energy use by providing householders with information on heat loss avoidance, ventilation, maximising energy efficiency and other home improvements to reduce CO2 emisions. In addition to our two main projects, we host regular bike maintenance and repair clinics across the ML12 6 area and we attend a range of information events hosted by partner agencies to promote climate care and our work.
