Structurey governance and managerrcrtaan Type of governing document The Dunbeath & Berriedale Development Trust is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and is controlled by means of a constitution. Trustee recruitment and appointment _ Trustees are appointed by the whole Board or at the AGM where they can be elected.
Charitable purposes _ The organisation's purposes are: - - The advancement of Education to the citizens of, and visitors to the community.
- The advancement of citizenship and community development. - The advancement of arts, heritage and culture within the community. - The provision of recreational facilities or organisation of recreational activities for the citizens of the community. - The advancement of environmental protection or improvement within the community. Summary of the main activities The main activities of the development trust are to identify improvement in relation to these objects opportunities within the local community, through community consultation, and work with other organisations to fundraise and co-ordinate improvement projects. To work closely with other local organisations to enhance the lives and environment of the local community.
