The above charity 180th City of Edinburgh Rainbows Unit is an unincorporated association. It has no written constitution, but operates in accordance with the Guiding Manual, published by Girlguiding UK the operating name of the Guide Association.
Its Trustees are the volunteer adult leaders trained and appointed as guiders in terms of the guiding manual. Annual up date training is available throughout the year.
The charity's aim is to deliver a programme of informal education in accordance with the ethos and principles of Girlguiding UK. During the above period the charity provided this programme to 0 girls.
The charity's main income is subscription income. The charity aims to hold sufficient cash funds to meet all expenditure due and anticipated during a 2 month period.
During the year the trustees did not receive any remuneration.

The charitys trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with
the lernis of the Charities and Trustee Inveslmenl (Scotland) 2005 Act and the Charities
Accounts (S¢otlandl Regulations 2006. The charity Ifust88s consider that the audit
requirement of R8gulation 10{1) (a> lo (cl of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my
responsibility to examina tho accounts as required under section 44{1) (c) of the Act and to
state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Inde
endent Examiners Statement
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts
(Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examinalion includes a review of the accounting records kept
by the charity and a compartson of the accounts presented with those records. It also Includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the a¢counts and seeks explanalions
from the trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do nol provide all
the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not express an audit
oplnlon on the accounts.
Examiners Statement
In the course of my examination. no matter has come lo my attention
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the
requirements:
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 44{1) la) of the 2005 Act and
Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with
Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations
have not been met, or
to whi¢h, in.my opinion. attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper
understanding of the accounts lo be reached.
