APPENDIX 1 Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period In Ihe last financial year we have relocated our Chattersense sensory motor gym to a larger. more inclusive space. Our new gym has been designed to ensure we meet the needs of all our users - ensuring we are accessible to all types of disabilities, including wheelchair users. Our service users th rK)t require a forn￿1 diagnosis to attend any of our services. We have provided assessments for over 40 indivtduals and provided indNMJual treatment sessions for over 80 individuals. We have developed wide range of groups that cater for an additional 50 clients, scffie of these are remote sessions which enable families to access the service rf travelling is tco much of a challenge. We work cknsely wtth many chariti'es and schools in the community. providing bespoke workshops and in-service days. This has enabled us to educate other professionals on the challenges faced by our young people, as well as prowding practical advi￿ and support lo parentslcarers. suppcyt staff. educational services and other stakeholders. We have provided dinical practice placements for over 20 0￿UpatIonal Therapy sludents, bolh in person and rer￿le. We have developed partnershipswth Glasgow Caledonian Unwersity, Brighton unive￿Ity and Lcth Brunel University. We have enabled over 100 individuals to access our new sensory motor gym to support and encourage out clients to play independently and to have quality time together as a family, wth siblings, parentslearers, other family members - through the weekend and during school holidays. Brief statement of the charity's policy on reserves The Chanty reserves pdKy is to hold the equwalent of 3 months, core exFend￿re, which for year ended 30 November 2024 was £16,200. The Charl￿ is working towards building up to this amount. as at 30 November 2024 unrestricted reserves totalled £8.033. Details of any deficit Inc(me for the year was £65k compared to £85k in the previous year. Reserves reduced from £50k to £8k as grants received were used to purthase gym equipment and sensory toys and repair and update the sensory rc¥Jm. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (a) to (c) of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. ## **Basis of independent examiner’s statement** My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters.
