Achievements and performance
Summary of the main
achievemènts of the charlty
durlng the financial period
Continued funding from BnG has allowed usto continue in
this calenderyearwith 2024 funding carytng foNard into
2025 and new funding in August 2025 for the incoming
academic year. The funding was less than we had bid for
butwe now have a fundraiseron Ihe committee and bids
were su bmitted for 3 pmi8cts. Allhough none were
successful we have leamed a lot whith will increase our
chancesof success in the future.
In December our playleader assistant let us know that she
had a fixed tenn contracl p)b with hopes that il would be
made permanenL As our p18yleaderwo￿0ad would
increase and herrenum8ration had not recenuy increased
the committee agreed to a pay increase which would be
covered by existsng monies in Ihis academic year
We bought play resources which were mu¢h needed as our
group profile has significanlly thanged and to ￿place some
items.
£500 lo be retained for emergencles as per ongoing
agreement with BnG.
We continue to have a strong online following via our
facebook account and numbers of families attendinq
sessions has increased. The joining familie5 like our regular
attenders a￿ all very engaged and a￿ making good
progress with their Gaelic leaming. Materials and lutoring
have been prowded where time allows including Gaelic
board garnes and puzzles. We have referred parents on to
other services in cluding council classes and online
resources.
We have provided 'Bookbug bags" to all Ihe families that
dldn't have them, and we are running gaellc"Bookbug"
sessions on a 6 weekly basis.
We didn't have any children of staning age for Gaelic
Medium Educab'on in 2025 due to ourage demographic of
largely younger children al present, but we will in Ihe next
academic year
Two thildren attend the GME Nursery (Mss￿0vndary at
Sgoil Araich na Coille Nuaidh in Kilmamock.
