Objectives and activities
The Organisation has been formed to benefit the community of the UK in particular, the areas our partner organisation Pillow Partners have local representation, with the following purposes:

Using properties for good - providing funded stays and experiences to those who need it the most or to sister charities for fundraising.

Sustainability – to ensure no wastage from the serviced accommodation industry, by collecting non-perishable foods and lost property and donating to local food banks and organisations. Never throwing out useable furniture or linens – always donating to local communities.

Partnership working – working closely with small local charities to give back to local communities in any way we deem fit and proper.

Supporting young entrepreneurs through desk sponsorship, mentorship, and work experience.
2025 has been a quiet year for the charity. Our donation centre closed during the year as a result of the high electricity costs associated with running the unit and financial difficulties experienced by the sponsoring partner who had supported the space. The charity was therefore largely dormant for much of 2025, with activity focused on winding down the donation centre responsibly rather than on new project work.
As the closure of the donation centre also meant the loss of our office space, objective 4 (supporting young entrepreneurs through desk sponsorship, mentorship, and work experience) will no longer be pursued moving forward.
Remaining stock held at the donation centre at the point of closure was not wasted: it was donated onward to other charities and good causes, in keeping with our sustainability objective of ensuring nothing useable goes to waste.
Despite the reduced activity, our online donation link remained active throughout the year, allowing supporters to continue giving. We also opened a new charity bank account during the year, which will enable us to register for Gift Aid in due course – this registration has not yet been completed but is a near-term priority.
Structure, governance and management
Our charity is governed by a constitution.
Trustee recruitment and appointment
Edith Clark stood down as a trustee during the year. Mark Lambson joined the board of trustees on 1st November 2025, and the board now comprises Scott Weir, Emma Wolfe and Mark Lambson.
Achievements and performance
2025 was, by necessity, a quieter year for the charity than those preceding it. The closure of the donation centre – driven by high running costs and the financial difficulties of our sponsoring partner – meant the charity was largely dormant for much of the year.
Outcomes and activity during the year included:

Closure of the donation centre managed responsibly, with all remaining stock donated to other charities and good causes rather than discarded.

The online donation link kept active throughout the year, maintaining a route for supporters to give.

A new charity bank account opened, laying the groundwork for Gift Aid registration.
Financial review
Statement of the charity's policy on reserves
As at 31 December 2025, the charity held reserves of £2,783.88.
Details of any deficit
Costs associated with the closure of the donation centre resulted in a deficit during the year. This deficit was written off through the charity's own funds, with nothing carried forward.
Donated facilities and services
Pillow Partners continued to donate staff time for all manner of activities during the year.
Future plans
Rather than re-establishing a physical donation centre, our focus for 2026 is to resume fundraising through funded stays and to launch a new Local Hero stays initiative, supporting people who need it most through donated accommodation.
