**What the charity does:** North East Recovery Communities offer a wide range of support and activities that are designed &amp; delivered by volunteers who have lived or living experience of addiction issues. We currently facilitate 5 recovery initiatives across NE Glasgow. SpARC, PARC, JaRC, RENEW, NERD alongside a variety of wellbeing activities such as ‘Recovery Runners’ &amp; “Creative Arts”. We also receive funding from CORRA to deliver outreach support to individuals within the local community who are finding it difficult to engage with mainstream treatment services. Our staff build therapeutic relationships with individuals and work with them to meet their own goals ation to engagement with recovery support.

**Objectives:** The organisation&#x27;s purposes are:  The advancement of health and the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage  In furtherance of these purposes, the organisation will:  a) Promote recovery from drug and alcohol use b) Promote improvement of mental and physical wellbeing for individuals c) Promote learning and employability opportunities for individuals in recovery d) Encourage people in recovery from alcohol and drug misuse to come together for mutual support. e) Identify gaps in existing service provision and work in partnership to fill these areas f) Promote and develop strategies, plans and structures in partnership, aimed at meeting the diverse needs of individuals g) Empower people in recovery to assist in research, analysis, and comment on relevant policies on addiction recovery related issues h) Co-operate and work in partnership with relevant organisations i) Provide a therapeutic environment that offers different models of recovery for individuals who are affected by addiction j) Inform and influence policy making at local and national level
