**What the charity does:** The charity was originally established in 1983 as a deed of trust and changed to a company limited by guarantee in March 2022. The objects of the charity are inter alia to support the advancement of education, training and citizenship through work carried out by the SAYFC at the national centre of the Young Farmers and such work as may be carried out throughout Scotland and elsewhere. Support of the SAYFC is largely through the payment of grants. During the year the charity continued to provided grants to the SAYFC, including the training of members and office bearers, support events and encourage participation in events through travel grants.

**Objectives:** 4.2	The Objects to be undertaken in Scotland or elsewhere for which the charity is established are: 4.2.1	the advancement of education, training and citizenship through work carried out by the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs at the National Centre of the Young Farmers. 4.2.2	the advancement of education, training and citizenship through work carried out by individuals or organisations associated or connected with agriculture, rural areas and young people. and 4.2.3	the promotion of such similar charitable purposes, objects or institutions and in such proportions and manner as the Trustees shall think fit, provided that for the purposes of this article 4 the expressions ‘charitable purpose’ or ‘charitable object’ shall mean a charitable purpose under section 7 of the Charities Act which is also regarded as a charitable purpose in relation to the application of the Taxes Acts, and a ‘charitable institution’ shall mean a body on the Scottish Charity Register which is also regarded as a charity in relation to the application of the Taxes Acts.
