The trustees are presenting this document as a report together with the financial statements and the accompanying notes to the accounts, and the independent examiner’s report for the year ended 31 January 2024. Overall as detailed below, due to lack of meeting place, Believers Fellowship Pentecost Church (BFPC) was not fully operating and reports an income of £26 for the reporting year.
During this reporting period, the charity has been dormant due to lack of funds. The charity intends to close by 31 August 2024.
Structure, Governance and Management of Believers Fellowship Pentecost Church (BFPC)
Constitution
BFPC is an unincorporated association (SCIO). It is governed by its constitution which was adopted on 9th January 2022. The church was granted charitable status by OSCR on 20 January 2022.
O bjectives
The objectives of BFPC as outlined in the constitution are: advancement of religion and in furtherance of this, 1. advance religion through church gatherings and other activities as permitted by law that will contribute to and respond positively on issues bothering our communities and society at large so that lives may be changed and Jesus given the Glory. 2 maintain a centre where members of the community can gather for the purpose of Christian life and influence and support for the church throughout the world. 3 advance a depth of spiritual awareness and assurance within the church and proclaim clearly to those outside of the Church the love of God offered towards them and in particular the needy, regarding the true Gospel of Jesus Christ for assurance of salvation. 4 To do such other things and to have and exercise such rights, privileges and powers conferred by law upon a religious organisation or church as may from time to time seem good to the Church Meeting under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. 5 While recognising the expedience and privilege of seeking the advice of other Christian Churches and associating with them for mutual advantage and service to others, to remain a free and autonomous body in matters of church governance.
Management
The trustees have the sole responsibility for the strategic direction and governance of the church. Therefore, the daily running of the church in all maters including administration is with the remit of a team composed from the trustees, chaired by the Pastor, who is also the Chairman of the board of trustees. Other church members form part of sub committees such as Administration, Technical and Maintenance, Fellowship and Hospitality, Logistics and Events Management. However, these are overseen by trustees who are also responsible for the duties/actions of the committees. Currently all

workers of the church offer their services voluntarily without pay. In future however, paid ministers will report to the Board of Trustees regarding progress and development of tasks assigned.

Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities of Believers Fellowship Pentecost Church (BFPC)
The Trustees of Believers Fellowship Pentecost Church (BFPC) are to ensure that financial statements are prepared which give sufficient detail to enable an appreciation of the transactions of the Church during the financial year. They are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which, on request, must reflect the financial position of the Church at any time. This must be done to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Church and must take reasonable steps for the prevention and/or detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Independent Examiner’s Report for Believers Fellowship Pentecost Church (BFPC) for the Year Ended 31 January 2023
No change in activity over the period, immaterial balance and activities overall during the period.
Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 (“the 2005 Act”) and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended) (“the 2006 Regulations”). The charity’s trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the 2006 Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section (44) (1) (c) of the 2005 Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
