Governlng Document
The organisation is a SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) and the purposes
and administration arrangements are set out in the constitution. Although the Charity was
granted SCIO status on 19 January 2022. the charitable activity had been taking place before
this date through Foundation Scotland.
Recruitment pollcy
At the conclusion of each AGM, any Charity trustees appointed during the period since the
preceding AGM {but excluding those re-appointed under clause 23 of the constitution during
that period} shall retire from office. The Charity trustees to retire shall be those who have
served the longest.
Charitable purpose
The organisation's purpose is to provide grant 5UPPOrt to groups and organisations that have
charitable objectives and/or individuals who are deemed to be worthy recipients of funding
being distribLrted on a purely charitable basis. for one or more of the charitable causes
identified in clause 5 within the seven counties of the Northem Meeting. The seven counties
are.. Moray, Banffshire, Naimshire. Inverness-shire, R055-5hire. Caithness and Sutherland.

administered by Foundation Scotland. Grants have been awarded as follows in 2025:

The Charity also has an Investment atcourrt wFth EQ Investors of a total fund of £111,458.
The organisation has no restrirted funds.
The Trustees consider that the general ufire5trl￿ fund of £122,806 will be sufftient to
allow them to COnt￿ue to operate for a period in excess of six months If no further funds

Independent Examlnerfs Report
I report on the Finanaal Statement for the Charity for the year ended 31 December 2025 set
out on pa8es 5 and 6.
Respective responsibilities of trustee and examiner
The Chariws trustees a￿ responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with
the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotlandl Act 2Crf)5 and the Charities
Accounts {Scotland) Regulations 21X)6. The Charity trustees considered that the audit
requirement of Regulation 10111 lal to Icl of the Accounting Regulations does not apply. It is
my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44111 {c) of the Act and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basls of Independent examinerfs ststement
My Examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts
IScotland} Regulations 2006. An Examination Includes a review of the accounting records
kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also
includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks
explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. the procedures undertaken do
not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not
express an audit opinion on the view given bythe accounts.
Independent examlnerfs statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me
reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
To keep accounting records in accordance with section4411) of the 2005 Act and
regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and
To prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with
regulation 9 of the 21￿6 Accounting Regulations.
