Slattadale’s primary objective is to operate a financially and environmentally sustainable off-campus outdoor education facility for the benefit of the Gairloch High School ASG’s 3-18 community. The young people who make up this community live in areas from Shieldaig in the South to Laide and Dundonnell in the North.

Objectives: The Organisation has been formed to benefit the community of Gairloch High School Associated Schools Group community (the 'Community'), with the following purposes (the 'Purposes'): advance education through the delivery of initiatives and programmes in the community by providing a range of outdoor and indoor activities combined with active learning in order to empower, increase capacity and employability skills as well as providing social activities for enjoyment. advancement of community development through the delivery of activities which seek to connect the community to young people and offer them opportunities for personal development to unlock potential, encourage physical activity, volunteering, and promote positive mental wellbeing and to provide intergenerational activities to support community wellbeing and cohesion. prevent or relieve poverty through empowering young people through the delivery of community initiatives, training, education, using outdoor learning as a mechanism to make a difference and address and mitigate disadvantage and encourage young people to consider the benefits of living and working in the community. provide recreational activities to young people, by offering a range of local community based, outdoor activities with the aim of removing as many barriers as possible, addressing disparities & reducing inequality and improving the conditions of life
