## Activities

**Activities:** 'It carries out activities or services itself'

**Purposes:** 'the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

**What the charity does:** The main aim of the Clyde Coast & Cumbraes Men's Shed is to help improve men’s mental health and wellbeing by providing a venue where men can choose to either work, relax, make and repair things, pursue hobbies and pastimes, get practical help with projects, and share & learn new skills. Perhaps more importantly, it’s a place where men can make new friends, have a cuppa, a chat, a laugh, and get out of the house for a while. We believe that all of the above will help to combat feelings of loneliness and isolation, and will generally re-engage men back into our community.

**Objectives:** The purpose of the organisation is to provide recreational facilities and advance the social needs, health and well being of men of all ages and backgrounds living in the Clyde Coast and Cumbraes district
