report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025.

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
The Trust's charilasle objects are'.-

protectsng andlor preserving buiklings and other structures of hislorul or archf(eclural
$vJnifKance within the Communty Area. partKularly the Hoty Trinity Church building in St

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
From a standing start tsvo or thraè years ago, th8 Trust's 6v8nts programm8 has become ong in whi¢h
about 50 musical and other events now lake place annual￿. This aehievemenl ts thought lo have been
widety noljced In Frfe and beyond. Management of the events passed to the Holy Tnnty congregation
with effect from August 2025. A trustee of the Trus( Michad Carslaw. is now Events Dire¢lor and 1$
taking the programme from strength lo strength.
The summer months of 2025 saw a Continuath￿ of the Holy TTtnty church openings. planned and
organised wrth substantial input from the Trust. Behveen June and mKI-Saptember 2025 some 15.000
people from near and far wsited the church. most of them for the first lime. Thanks are due to the
Welcomérs. among whom were some of thè tnJstee$. One trustee, Graham Wynd, was a key part of
the dedicated team wh￿h Overs￿ the Wekomers. rota and undert¢)ok the onerous burden of opening
the church in the momings and dealing wrth all aspecls of closing rt in the late afterncons. Holy Trinrty
has n¢)w been included among ￿e1ve natKJnalty iMp￿an1 churches In Scotland, lo be known as
Signature Churches. This, together wrth other factors, persuaded the trustees lo lake responsibi11ty,
once more, for the programme of church openings in 2026. If possible, the previous three days Fer
week in the summer months might be expanded so that more visrtors would be able tr) enjoy all that the
church has to offer.
The final waymark of the Frfe Pilgrim Way is srtiJ*ed in Holy Trinity's garden- an oulcclne lo which the
Trust eontributed. Fife Coa$l & Countryside Trust, Frfe C¢JJneil, VK8rtScotL4nd and other organisalions
{including churches ak)ng the route} are expending much effort towards publKising the Pilgrim Way and
seeking lo enhance the pilgrims, experEnce in various respecls. The Trust has decided lo offer its
support lo expanding Holy TTinty's role_ The Frfe Pilgrim Way ￿ not yet as well-eslablished as some
other pilgrimage routes in ScotLand'. to date, not many pilgrims come to the church. Hcwever, rt is

thought that this srtuatM)n is sure lo change for the better. and the Trust hopes to make a valuable
contribution.
The Trust has not k)st sight of the intended devekrf)ment of the church building, as envi$aged in the
detailed Feasibilty.and Design Study whKh was concluded in 2024. The focus in part￿ulaT would be
on installation of modem tOl￿t acc0fflmoda1￿n and a much-improved environment in and around the
west dcM)rs of the church. These expensive work5 will require substant￿1 funds lo be raised, and il is
not anticyated that they wlll be undertaken in the inwr￿dIate short lem.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The Surplus for the year lo 31 December 2025 was £3,14812024- £6.488).
Total fund8 held at 31 December 2025 were £16.42212024 - £13.2741. All ffijnds are unrestricted fund$
and are available for general Charit￿18 purposes.
RESERVES POLICY
While the Trust has no employees, has onty modest fixed assets Itherefore gNing rise to only minor
repair coslsl. has no signrficant pl8nned financrdl commitments and has a low risk of unexpgcted
expendrture, the Iruslees consider rt prudent lo maintain a general reserye of funds ol al least £2,500
whth they mnsider S[rff￿Ient lo r￿1 the Trusys anlKipaled financial and *al obligations lo its
intended beneficiaries and others. The policy will be ￿VEwed annualty.
STRUCTURE. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Constltutlon
The Trust is a company limited by guarantee and do88 not have a share capital. Tha ¢ornpany was
incorporated on 5 October 2021 and the goveming documents of the organisalion are the Memorandum
and Articles of Association. charitab￿ stslus was granted by OSCR (Office of the Scottish Charty
ReguLqlor) on 13 January 2022.
At the dale of this Rewt, th8 trustees are all members of the charty. The Art￿leS pemirt the admission
of members who a￿ not. and who have never been. Iruslees. In the year covered by these financial
stslemenls, the members were nol required to pay a subscriptson.
