Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements
of the charity during the financial
period
We have continued as a key partner in the Scottish Government Initiative "Save
Life For Scotland- developing strategies to improve survival from Out-of-Hospital
Cardiac Arrest and resou￿$ to support those involved. The GoodSAM initiative
shows huge potential for the future and is a programme we are delighted to be
involved with.
Our Communlty Flrst Ald awareness tralnlng has been dellvered to communlty
groups including primary and secondary schools and we have actively targeted
groups and individuals with a disability. We have trained 1,873 people this year
We have delivered a￿Ssible accredtted First Aid training to groups an(1
individuals induding job seekers. thosewith mental health arKI addiction problems.
Responders attended 238 emergency 999 calls wlth our Scottlsh Ambulance
Service CFR partnership work In the year to 31 St March.
We have also continued our worf( to consolidate and develop the Fife Council
Mobile Emergency Care Service Partnership within the East Neuk. The MECS
team attended 176 calls during the year
Post COVID we have engaged wlth and supported the communlty wlth Medleal
Event Cover at slgnlficantly more events and actlvmes.
We delivered a meal and grfts made by local primary school children on
Christmas Day to 100 elderty or vulnerable members of our communty most of
whom lived alone.

The charity's trustees are responsible for the FYeparatK)n of the accounts in accordance with the
temis of the Chanties and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charrties Accounts
(Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of
Regulation 10(1)(d) of the Accounts Regulats'ons does not apply. 11 is my responsibility to exarnine
the accounts as required under section 44(1)(c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters
have come to my attentDn.
Basis of Independent examinees statement
My exarnination is carried out in accordance wrth Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts
(Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination indudes a review of the 8ccounting records kept by
the d)arity and a comp*i8on of the accounts Fxesented with those record8. It also includes
consideration of ary unusual items or di8closure8 in accounts, and aeeks explanations frorn the
tNstees conceming any such matter3. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence
that would be required in ￿ audit, and Gonsequently I do not express an audrt opinion on the vlew
given by the accounts.
