A¢tlvitles and Performance This year wa5 a period of con501idation and controlled growth. Thi5 was mainly achieved through the expansion of the Rising Stsrs Programme to Hillpark, and the estsblishment of a partnership agreement with the Hillpark Secondary School for the delivery of both the sport and the mentoring part of the Programme there. A new partnership with the Voluntary Service of the Student Rèpresentative Council of the University of Glasgow will support the Programme with applications to the PVG xheme, and open5 UP the Prograrnme to a wide pool of volunteers moving forward. Discussions with the sport's governing body, Basketball Scotland IBSI, proved fruitful in reaching an agreement regarding the training of senior Rising Stars coaches to become BS tutors, so that in the future they can be trained in-house free of charge. Similarly, negotiations with the sporfs international governing body, the Fedération Internationale de Basketball IFIBAI, reached an agreement for the provision of free equipment for the support of the Rising Stars. In terms of our internal operations, the establishment of a fundraising programme is likely to provide additional funds in the medium and the longer term, while the development of a website through which the work done is communicated to the general public is seen as critical for the future of the Rising Stars. At the strategic level, the expansion of the Programme to more areas around Glasgow will requirè thè èngagement of other universities in the city. and partnerships with local basketball tèams to create viable pathway5 for participants in the Programrne. Looking at measurable performance, six 1101 new junior coaches were trained and joined the Programme. A total of twenty1121 prath.ce sessions at a group of twelve1151 pupils at the Hillpark Secondary, while ten 1101 basketball sessions were delivered to each of the four141 feeder primary schools in the area. Finally, on the mentoring side, five151 pupils from Hillpark Secondary were selected to recéive yèar-round tutoring, as part of our partnership with the Voluntary Tutor5 Or8anisation. Financial Review Our main source of funding this year came from primarily from grant providers, such as The Robertson Trust, National Lottery Awards for All. and Glasgow City Council. In early 2024, we hosted charity tournament through our university club partners, and raised £471 for the charity. No other formal fundraising events havè taken place since, but the Rising Stars team are looking forward to taking part in the Great Scottish Run in Sèptember 2024. The costs a55ociated with thi5 years, artivitie5 were lower than anticipated, as our volunteer coaching related expenses were lower than anticipated. Additionally. there were no costs associated with our tutoring programme. Our main costs for the year were associated with ordinary running costs and several expanses to host our and of term tournaments for those who parkncipate in Rising Stars. Approved by the trustees on 22 June 2025 and signed on their behalf bv=
