The children will be expertly coached in all aspects l of football. Our sessions have been carefully devised to ensure j children of all ages and abilities receive the best tuition possible to improve their knowledge and enjoyment of the game. Our aim is to provide a safe and friendly environment where children can learn all aspects of playing football. All of our training sessions are designed to develop physical fitness and improve stamina. Summary of the main activities In relation to these objects We teach basic balan and co-ordination exercises that lead to more advanced technical skills, including defending, attacking and positional | play. Above all, all children are encouraged to develop their skills and talents at their own pace. We cater for children from as young as 5 up to young adults. We have teams at soccer 4's. 5's. Futsal, 7's. 9s and teams who play I l a side. We believe that football should be accessible for all. Additionally. we strive to provide football and i sporting opportunities for the community of Lochend (top 5°k rnost deprived in Scotland) and Edinburgh.
APPENDIX 1 Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of Throughout the year, Lochend Football Academy has run numerous the charity during the financial period training camps and smaller group sessions, not only for the players who are in the club, but for those in the wider community. These have included holidays camps for local children, coaching within local I primary schools, training sessions with vulnerable adults (arranged I through the Council) and fun softball sessions within the local care Not only have we been successful in our core football activities. we have secured grant funding to upgrade our facilities at Lochend but we are exploring the possibility of taking on a larger facility from City of Edinburgh Council. If successful, this will allow us to expand what we can offer and grow wrthin the Community. We have also been granted The King's Award, a very prestigious honour are now one of only 13 charities to be granted this award in Scotland in the last 10 years.
