ACHIEVEMENTS & PERFORMANCE
1[st] September 2024 – 31[st] August 2025
What another incredibly busy year for Scott’s Foundation.
This year has been filled with meaningful activity, community engagement, and significant milestones that continue to strengthen the foundation’s presence locally. From fundraising efforts and new partnerships to supporting individuals, families, and wider community groups, the foundation has worked tirelessly to honour Scott’s legacy and extend support where it’s needed most.
The momentum behind our work has grown stronger, driven by the generosity of local people, the dedication of volunteers, and the commitment of our partner organisations. Each project, event, and collaboration has helped us expand our reach and make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of young people and their families.
Thank you to every single person who has been involved along the way.
September – Eleri Brown and her son Ewan took on Kilimanjaro in loving memory of Scott, and to leave a flag at the summit.
October - Murray’s Match took place at Stirling Albion Football Park, raising an amazing £18,000, which will be split and donated to local mental health charities.
November - We were delighted that RSM won their workplace competition, resulting in an incredible donation of £14,890.13 to our organisation. This generous contribution has enabled us to widen our support for younger children, ensuring that we can continue providing the essential services we have established locally, and extend them even further. To show our appreciation and recognise their incredible efforts, we gifted RSM staff with branded t ‑ shirts and hoodies. We are also delighted that RSM have expressed interest in continuing their support into next year.
We remain committed to attending local fundraising events, where we speak with members of the community about Scott’s Foundation, what we do, how our services can be accessed, and who we are able to help. We also announced our annual Ladies’ Night, that was held on 14th May 2025 at Grangemouth Town Hall. In addition, we proudly supported Denise Jarvis in her inspiring 150-day Skinny Dipping Challenge, which she completed on New Year’s Eve.
December – We continue our work with the amazing guys from Max Kolbe and are working with them to arrange something for Scott’s anniversary next year.
We also hosted our third free community Christmas dinner, welcoming anyone experiencing poor mental health or loneliness to ensure no one had to spend Christmas Day alone. The support from the community was outstanding, with charities such as SAMH and local supported housing organisations making use of the service. All food and funds were generously donated by the public, making it a truly special day. Our 2025 Christmas dinner will be held in the St Francis Church Hall.

TRUSTEES’ ANNUAL REPORT
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2025
January – We filmed and launched our new promotional video. Denise successfully completed the Skinny Dip Challenge, and Andrew and I attended to show our support. She raised an amazing £1,696! We also continued our partnership with LK Galaxy, providing free football sessions and lunch for the children. In addition, we held a small balloon release to mark what would have been Scott’s 21st birthday.
February – We signed up for the Kelpies Challenge with Harmoney ET, which will help us raise funds in May. We also registered to take part in Chris’s House’s Walk of Faith 2024. Additionally, we visited local businesses and schools to distribute Scott’s updated posters and leaflets, as well as to seek business sponsorships for our Kelpies Challenge. We also remain committed to supporting the Glasgow Suicide Bereavement Group, just as they continue to support us.
March – We met with the team at The Barratt Foundation, where we were presented with a £1,500 donation. We continue to receive ongoing support from local businesses that display our donation tins.
We also attended a comedy night hosted by Caesar’s Paradise, which provided another great opportunity to raise awareness among local adults about the support available for their children through the charity.
April – A group of volunteers chose Scott as their cause for the Kilt Walk, raising funds in his memory, and we also attended a Northern Soul night held in his honour. We were present at the Caledonian Cup, where we sponsored several of the boxers and bouts. Additionally, we had the privilege of presenting Scott’s Boxer of the Year Memorial Shield to Fabrizio Di Battista.
We attended the Suicide Awareness Weekend in memory of Scott and made some great connections with other parents, as well as other organisations. We also continue to attend and support the Glasgow Suicide Bereavement Group.
May – Our annual Ladies Night was held in the BN. Grangemouth Town Hall. Each year we are hoping to make the event even bigger! We completed the Kelpies fa.q’ Challenge and were joined by our family and friends, along with Scott’s friends.
June – We supported Aurel in her mammoth run to raise funds through her work at Kings Park Hospital. We attended a fight night at Sparta to present another trophy in Scott’s memory to Ross Forshaw.
We met with Sean from the LK Galaxy Football Foundation to put together a plan to fund free football sessions all summer holidays, and free lunches for all kids who attend. We are also in talks about hosting Suicide Prevention Courses on their premises.
July - LK Galaxy launched our collaboration by sponsoring 200 free child places, providing free football sessions and lunches throughout the summer.
We also sponsored a team at Falkirk Football Club. In addition, we partnered with Sparta at the Caledonian Cup to further raise awareness of Scott’s story within the boxing community.
We continue to expand our network of working agreements with local counsellors and therapists. We now have six counsellors, two therapists, a play therapist, and a psychotherapist on board, all accepting referrals from us. We remain committed to growing this team even further to ensure support is readily available, easy to access, and able to start without delay.
Throughout the year, we have continued to run our Scott Martin Sparta Bootcamps for children and have funded places for any child identified as needing support, including those whose families may be facing financial difficulties. We hope to secure additional funding to deliver even more fully funded bootcamps in the future.

FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2025
Our kids' section at Sparta continues to look great and ensures that children have all the necessary equipment to train safely and feel comfortable in their own space within the gym.
We continue to sponsor young boxers at Sparta and remain actively involved in their boxing journey. Our family members presented Scott’s memorial shield to the boxer of the year at the Sparta Homecoming Show. We have also approached Galaxy Sport to discuss the possibility of funding places at their summer camps, and we are currently awaiting their response.

‑ Additionally, we provide a three month free pass to children’s classes for any young person who has received support from us, helping to maintain continuity after their initial sessions end. Sparta kindly offers these passes at a discounted rate, allowing us to keep this valuable support in place.
We continue to be supported through the MuchLoved Funeral fundraising scheme, which allows all families to donate straight to Scott from their loved one’s funeral.
Scott’s Love Locks continue to be taken by supporters, and placed in different countries in Scott’s Memory.
Overall, it has been another busy and successful year for Scott’s Foundation. We continue to work closely with local businesses and organisations, exploring new ways to collaborate and expand the support we offer within the community. These partnerships only continue to grow stronger, ensuring that Scott’s legacy lives on. The local community has been incredible, and none of what we do would be possible without their ongoing support.
We connected with the organisers of the first Miller Summer Showdown to help raise awareness of teenage mental health and highlight the services offered by the foundation. We are pleased that this partnership will continue into next year’s event.
We continue to receive incredible support from the community, along with generous donations that help us sustain and strengthen the essential services we provide for local children and young people.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2025
Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Scott Martin Foundation
I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 August 2025, which are set out on pages 10 to 15.
Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 ("the 2005 Act") and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended) ("the 2006 Regulations"). The trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation (10)(1)(d) of the 2006 Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts under section (44)(1)(c) of the 2005 Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Independent Examiner's Statement
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent Examiner's Statement
In connection with my examination, no matter came to my attention:-
-
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect, the requirements
-
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Regulations, and
-
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Regulations
have not been met, or
- to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
