## **Charity Trustees**
## **Objectives and activities**

- The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science,
- The advancement of public participation in sport,
- The advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation,
- The advancement of environmental protection or improvement,
- The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage,
- The advancement of animal welfare,
- Any other purpose that may reasonably be regarded as analogous to any of the preceding purposes
## **Structure, governance and management**
SCIO Constitution registered on 22[nd] July 2021.
## **Trustee recruitment and appointment**
The Lomond Rotary Club is represented by three ex-officio trustees: The President, the Treasurer, and, the Secretary. In addition, the members elect a minimum of one and a maximum of three additional trustees.
## **Financial review**
Our primary focus has continued to be service to the community and we have again delivered cardiopulmonary resuscitation training to over 5,000 people. As part of our service we have also installed a number of new defibrillators and we maintain the majority of defibrillators in our community replacing the essential pads and batteries whenever required.
Although our focus has been on community service, we have raised sufficient funds to support our defibrillator costs and also to make a range of both local and international donations.
Total receipts were £11,365.91 and expenditure amounted to £4,686.75. This resulted in a surplus for the year of £6,679.16 and at the end of the year a balance of £9,755.10 was carried forward. This balance comprised restricted funds of £7,972 for defibrillators and defibrillator signage and free funds of £1,783.10.
## **Statement of the charity’s policy on reserves**
The trust’s policy on reserves is to hold sufficient funds to meet unexpected immediate demands.
## **Details of any deficit**
The trust does not operate with a deficit.
## **Donated facilities and services**
CPR training and monitoring of all local defibrillators is a significant service donated to local organisations and schools.
Another area of our community service is working in partnership with police and education authorities to deliver internet safety training to our local primary schools
## **Future plans**
To continue to support the trust’s Objectives.

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Rotary Club of Lomond Charity SCIO
| report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 30" June 2025 which are set out on pages1 to 2.
## Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities
Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
## Basis of independent examiner's statement
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently | do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
## Independent examiner's statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention [other than disclosed below*]
1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
- « to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations
- e to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations
