We are a community group working collaboratively to see the realisation of Scottish Mosques as vibrant Islamic Centres that cater to the religious, educational and social needs of women in their communities with excellence. We engage with community and Mosque leaders to: help mosques establish accessible and equitable prayer facilities for women, support mosques to have a welcoming and inclusive attitude to their female service users, encourage mosques to offer a variety of services and activities that are appropriate to the local female community, encourage mosques to provide an imam/qualified female scholar that is accessible to the service users, and include women in decision making at an operational and strategic levels.

Objectives: The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the organisations purposes are, 4.1 the advancement of religion 4.2 the promotion of equality and diversity 4.3 the advancement of education 4.4 the advancement of citizenship or community development 4.5 the promotion of religious or racial harmony 4.6 the advancement of health 4.7 the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities 4.8 the relief of those in need These purposes will be achieved by undertaking these main activities, - Helping mosques establish accessible and equitable prayer facilities for women - Establishing standards and processes that support mosques to maximise their potential in serving their communities. - Promoting good practice in community development through education and training as an agent for change. - Supporting mosques to have a welcoming and inclusive attitude to their female service users - Engaging with policy makers to create a greater awareness and understanding of the role of Muslim women in strengthening civil society and building social capital. - Building and sustaining relationships in our communities which are constructive, effective and mutually valued. These will be intra-faith and inter-faith in nature and will aim to promote active citizenship within Scottish society. - Collaborate with mosques to provide facilities and services for vulnerable and marginalised sections of our community, with particular focus on those excluded due to gender, race, health and disability. We will organise recreational and social activities to promote community cohesion. - Working with partner organisations to address inequalities in health, education and poverty
