To inspire and support individuals of all abilities to engage in running, building on over a century of heritage and fostering a community that celebrates shared achievement and pride. Through inclusive training, coaching, and events, we aim to develop skills, confidence, and a passion for running, making the sport accessible and welcoming for our members and the wider public.

Objectives: In terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act, 2005, the club's general purposes are as outlined in section 7(2) (h), the advancement of public participation in sport. and section 7(2) (i), the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for who the facilities or activities are primarily intended. Specifically, the purposes of the club are: 4.1To encourage the practice, participation, promotion and development of athletics. 4.2To embrace participants of all abilities at athletics events. 4.3To provide training, support and coaching for members. 4.4To organise athletics events open to the general public. 4.5To do all of the above as a member of the governing body, Scottish Athletics, and operate in line with the governing body's rules, regulations and disciplinary code. 4.6In carrying out its charitable purposes, the club will adopt the Scottish Athletics' Equality Policy and will ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2011 and the nine protected characteristics defined therein (age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and belief, sex, and sexual orientation), and any other artificial barrier or prejudice.
