Achievements and performance
Now in our third year, Edinburgh Jam Group with support from an
increased team of volunteers and support has been able to build on
the growth in 202212023 and expand the scope and reach of our
impact in the community. Highlights include..
Our annual jam camp event took place in the Borders at
Tweedsmuir, tied in closely with the Tweedsmuir Community
Association and running in concert with their annual weekend
event. The Jam Camp was a brilliant success, providing
performance opportunities for up and coming bands and artists
and providing opportunities for people of all ages with an interest
in music to network, gain confidence, access resources and
build lasting associations and friendships.
We have delivered one large showcase event in the town centre
of Edinburgh so far with another one in the pipeline for 2024.
This event was very well attended and provided a higher profile
springboard for the bands and artists who were involved in the
event... it also senies to inspire other bands and artists and
encourage them to build their Confiden￿ and ambition with a
view to taking the next steps in their musical journeys.
Our ongoing roster of Jam-type events has expanded to include
an intermediateladvanced style jam event as an addition to our
steadfast "Open Jam" The Edinburgh Jam Group jam events
continue to serve as a vital opportunity for people of all abilities,
backgrounds, ages and ambitions to get into a supportive
environment where they can explore and share their passion for
music, developing themselves in the process and building
confidence, contacts and skills for the future.
Our reputation for mentoring and supporting projects which are
brought and led by members of the EJG community including
the under 18s band project has continued to reach a wider
audience and has led to a marked uptick in the amount of

contact we are receiving with proposals for projects and
requests for support.
We have built more partnerships with music tuition, recording,
and instrument care providers, helping them to reach a wider
audience and in the process helped our community and users
access high quality resources who can provide the help they
need.
We have continued to maintain, develop and upgrade the
Edinburgh Jam Group studio which has serves as a high quality
facility for hundreds of hours of instrument tuition for people of all
ages, backgrounds and abilities.
We have continued to maintain, develop and upgrade the
Edinburgh Jam Group studio which has serves as a high quality
facility for hundreds of hours of artist and band practice,
rehearsals, auditions, media capture and recording.
In general, our outreach and impact has grown significantly -
this is evidenced in all areas where EJG interfaces with the
public including social media, web traffic, telephone contact, in
person walk-ins, attendance numbers at all of our events, and
utilisation of our various services and those of our affiliated
partners etc.
