The advancement of education, the athancemenl of health and the sawng ol lives, all through education and training in first aid,. the treatment of illness, rescue, oc¢idenl prevention end similar activit'es primarily at public event3 Such as Hb3hland Games, Agricultural Show3 and 8POrting event¥. Activities and Achievernents The 2024 season was once agaln a very busy onewith 44 events covered, rangingfrom a small village picnic to Turriff show, 8nd a huge variety in between. A large nurnber of our events are now coming in through our website, and we also covered events f rom Ayr in the south to Dornoch in the north, rnaking us 8 tTuly Scotland wid8 organi8ation. In Novemberw8 Contracted structure and write up 811th8 oolicy documents E.F.A.S has a legal reouiremenl for. I would like to record 8 Vote of th8nk8 to or all his hard work and diligence in thig eonsiderable undertaking. E.F.A,S updated volunteers work wear including lined, waterproof jackets for all our First Aiders. Recruitment continues to be an issue for us. although we are working hard to resolve this. including 8 more pro-active approach at events. Thg Elgin team now meets in the Bishopmill hall on the second and fourth Wednesdays ofeach month and have a solid, dependable core of volunteers. Cer..tral belt group is growing, slowly f)ut SLJrely under the guidance or They have set up awhat's app gioup which seems to be workingwell, and Ihey 8re covering a Erowing number of events in their area, as well a5 helping us fulfil 818rge numberof event8 in the north. E.F.A.S now has 3 response vehicles in the Ileet, a Mercedees Sprinter, a Renault Master (both front line ambulances) and 8 Ftynudai 140 Estate First Aid respons& vehicle. A decision that 811 our First Alders should be trained ar)d qu81ified io First Responder Emergency Care IF.R.E.C.} level 3. which will become 8 minimum requirement for Event First Aid providers.
