These included'.- activities in relation to these objects Making 4 wheelchair planters for Parkdale Care Home Making 24 feet for the Horticultural Society display stands Making 12 bird box kits for the Church Kids Summer club Making 20 Christmas tree stands for a local quilting group Making 15 painted wooden plaques for the Core Paths group We held an Open Doors day on 19th November. 241h November we participated in the Christmas in the I Community Fair and on 81h February 2025 we participated in the Community connected Fair, where the Ukulele group entertained the crowd. In June 2024 we held a very successful Harp Concert with over 60 people attending. with a professional harpist from Glasgow playing a pedal harp, Our Ukulele Group has going form strength to strength with 20 members, both ladies and men. Now named Auchterarder Ukes, it was felt that the new name would encourage more beginners and particularly ladies to join the group. The ukulele group was awarded a Community Grant to get it up and running and we felt that it should therefore be open to any member of the community, As mentioned previously, all the ukulele group members are signed up members of our Mens Shed. This allows us to have everyone covered by our insurance policy The ukulele group have been very active, giving a number of concerts throughout the year. This has resulted in them generating in the region of £300 for Mens Shed funds. Their concerts provided entertainment for'.- Parkdale Care Home Kippen House, Dunning Oakbank Care Home, Crieff Glencairn Care Home Parish Church Guild Community Connected Fair Perth Methodist Church APPENDIX 1 Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period The Mens Shed has had another very successful year. Membership is currently 40 members, which now includes lady members of the Ukulele group Unfortunately, we have lost some members but we have gained new members. Attendance at Tuesday meetings has averaged 19 and Thursday meetings averaged 8. However, there have been days when we have had many more than that. The Board of trustees have agreed to erect a second workshop shed and a project is underway to raise the funding for this.
