Activities

'the promotion of equality and diversity','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

Survivors Supporting Survivors fundamentally supports victims of a brain injury. The focus is delivering 1 to 1 support to survivors of Traumatic Brain Injuries, these can be complex and very differential, this can be done, physically, mentally, emotionally or socially. Being a friend and offering support is the main mechanism used to bolster self belief and reignite the desire to strive for an improvement, of any degree, even miniscule improvements can feel overwhelming and inspiring. We also support speech, understanding, memory, just life really. We cover central Scotland mainly from the Lanarkshire and Glasgow over to Edinburgh and the surroundings

Beneficiaries: 'People with disabilities or health problems'

Objectives: 4 The organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 To provide relief to those who have suffered or been affected by brain injuries through the provision of a range of practical assistance and support, delivered by those who have experienced the same recovery process, in order to assist recovery. 4.2 The promotion of equality and diversity through promoting an understanding of brain injuries and raising awareness, at all levels, of the importance of meeting the needs and rights of survivors of brain injury.
