Objectives and activities

Charitable purposes

The advancement of the Christian religion in the United Kingdom and elsewhere by the publication of literature or other media promoting the Christian faith. The provision of quality Christian literature or other media to individuals or organisations mainly outside of the United Kingdom subsidised either in part or in whole to allow them to engage in promoting the Christian faith. Summary of the main activities in relation to these objects Provision of evangelistic literature for distribution in the UK and overseas. Support production and distribution of evangelistic literature in countries where this is economically challenging.

Provide free evangelistic literature to organisations for distribution where this cannot be afforded by the organisations themselves.

Raise funds from the clients of a subsidiary trading company and other Christian organisations and individuals to finance the conduct of these activities.

Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period — The charity continued to receive gifts from individuals, churches and organizations. Mostly from those who are clients of the company. Gifts were made to 5 individuals or organisations who needed the leaflets but were considered not to have the resources to afford them themselves. They included outreaches in Republic of Ireland and border areas, Stoyan Stoyanov in Bulgaria (3 gifts), Helping Hands and Belfast City Mission. A legacy receipt of £20,000 was given to the company asa loan in order to allow the company to invest in new equipment for literature production. The company continues to function providing literature to those who can afford it.

Financial review

Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves All reserves are retained in cash form to provide funding for future activities. There are no defined upper or lower limits on reserves held but it is the policy of the Trustees to plan activities consistent with the availability of reserves for funding purposes. : The Trustees donate their time free of charge for the conduct of the activities of the charity.
