## **Constitution**
The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (a SCIO). It was registered in its current legal form on 29 March 2021. It has a single tier structure and as such the trustees are the members of the charity.
## **Appointment of Trustees**
Trustees are appointed via a voting and nomination system from within the charity. The minimum number required is 7.

## **Objects and activities**
## _**Charitable purposes**_
To provide young people of the local community a chance to play organised football within their local community, to give them a sense of belonging and to provide affordable opportunities to the young people of the area, ensuring all young people have the chance to play football.
To provide the football opportunities to young people to teach skills that are transferable into everyday life which can hopefully set them up for their future.
To provide a safe environment where young people can come and express themselves.
## _**Activites, achievements and performance**_
We are glad to see our Easterhouse FA family keeps growing with the starting of our 2019 team with some 2020 involved and next to start our 2020 group that has a special place for us with it being the year we were formed and the start of our journey.
We have over 270 registered boys and girls as well over 160 registered players over 18 and counting.
Great to see our over 35s with another Scottish cup to make it 2 in a row and other age groups winning trophies and competing all over Scotland and beyond, including tournaments in Blackpool and beyond.
We opened the new community hub at Stepford with a partnership with Glasgow City Council, FARE and EFA. Giving teams have a meeting place and giving parents somewhere to sit on a cold, wet Glasgow night. The community space also held a few birthday parties, after kids played football, saving parents money as it free to use. The community hub was also used as a space to provide free haircuts for kids to go back to school.
2024/25 also seen Easterhouse FA running our 1st full camp at Stepford with help from SFA. The kids loved it and we hope in the future a safe place for kids to come during all school holidays to get free play and food for a few hours.
## **Financial review**
Another tough year for everyone, in all walks of life, with the cost of living crisis and all the financial heartaches that causes.
As always we try keep our fees as low as possible and give sibling discounts too. With the help of our fantastic volunteer coaches and helpers and funding via donations and grants we have been able to keep our monthly fees to £15, or £20 with the use of a referee. We feel that is good value compared to fees charged by other teams. For 2 training nights and 1 game per week this works out at just over £1 per night or day training or game.
## **Reserves policy**
The trustees’ policy is to retain £5,000, which is calculated as 3 months worth of fees, in order to meet the running costs and cover any unexpected expenditure. Reserves are currently sitting at £10,194. The trustees will continue to monitor the reserves position.

## **Plans for the future**
We hope 2025/26 keeps us improving coaches and helpers who are the backbone of the community with the other teams at Stepford and we hope we can get more community involvement and more kids making and meeting friends in a safe fun place.
As always we are looking at ways to improve our service and continue to try to be the best we can be and with parents help with the players and coaches helpers we will.

## **Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of Easterhouse Football Academy**
I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2025
## **Respective responsibilities of the Trustees and examiner**
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
## **Basis of independent examiner's statement**
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
## **Independent examiner’s statement**
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention
1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
_**-**_ to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 _**-**_ Accounts Regulations
_have not been met, or_
2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **1 Basis of accounting**
These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordance with the Charities & Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended).
## **2 Nature and purpose of funds**
Unrestricted funds are those that may be used at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the objects of the charity. The trustees maintain a single unrestricted fund for the day-to-day running of the academy.
The charity has no restricted funds.
