At the conclusion of each AGM one third of the trustees (or nearest round number) shall retire but may be re-appointed at the following board meeting unless they indicate they do not wish to continue. To assist other charities and groups operating within WKCC to undertake activities and developments conducive with the charitable purposes of the SCIO governing document. To help promote and develop the community development plan by consultation with the local community and to develop longer term legacy projects for future aenerations.

APPENDIX 1 Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of This year the charity has continued to support eight students to continue the charity during the financial period _ their further educational studies with a bursary of £100 each for the academic year. However, with the significant cost of living rises over the past few years at the AGM of the trustees it was proposed and unanimously agreed that this sum should be increased to that of £2000 per annum for these and future applications to the fund.
To assist with the community consultation process
of a new five-year community development plan the trustees have purchased a FREEPOST licence to allow the delivery of a community questionnaire to every household covered by the charity. Assistance with much needed electrical work and new flooring a grant was given to a local Village Hall, plus grants given to the local youth club to enable 2 young people to undertake their adult leadership courses and the other young people to undertakea residential trip at Stirling University to meet up with youth clubs from throughout Scotland. A grant was given to a gun club to develop a site within west Kintyre for a shooting range.
Three new small business start-up grants were given to assist with the development of these new start-ups in the area. With the Help of Foundation Scotland negotiations have taken place with Octopus energy for the fund to receive community benefit payments from this development which have now been concluded with two grants having now been paid into the fund one of which is funds owed for last year but not paid due to these negotiations. Brief statement of the charity’s policy | Bank balances are currently high with the addition of the new funding from on reserves Octopus energy (via Foundation Scotland), However, negotiations with the Council for an asset transfer of the old toilets at Tayinloan have now been concluded with £100k of these balances earmarked for the redevelopment of the site to that of new modern facilities suitable for all abilities. Plus, we are currently in discussion with regards the development of a cycle “pump track" at the recreational grounds. This will be a major legacy project and the first of its kind Argyll. It will be available for all residents, and visitors to the area with no charge for its usage. Cost will be in the region of £200k Details of any deficit None.
