'the advancement of public participation in sport'

The Royal Albert Cycling Club SCIO and it's junior section the Clydesdale Colts exists to encourage people to participate in cycling from its base in Larkhall and surrounding areas. The RACC was established in 1901 making it one of the oldest clubs in the UK and the junior section was established in 2011. The club was delighted to win the prestigious honour of Scottish Cycling's Club of The Year in 2024. This recognised the commitment of the club members aged from 88 to 5 , the host of wonderful volunteers and the Trustees. Members participate in regular club sessions including the Sunday club run for adults, the Saturday morning coaching sessions for junior members and a range of events during the week including indoor training sessions, Tuesday night trail building, Wednesday night time trials and Friday night land training. We are pleased to have introduced Scottish Disability Sport athletes to our races and coaching programme. We hosted a range of open events in 2024.
