Farr North is set up to bolster the social and economic resilience of Farr, North Sutherland. We do this by running projects to enhance accessibility to amenities and services (Farr Goes Community Transport and assistance to people seeking driving qualifications), running wellbeing projects (such as classes and workshops) and subsidised meals and communal meals (Farr Eats) . We deliver the Farr North Apprenticeship Programme and seek to maximise income to the community from local wind farm developments in particular by pursuing community shared ownership. We are exploring housing needs and respond to community priorities and requests. We seek to be a resource for other community groups by promoting opportunities and providing training.
