Corinthian Church and Healing Association Scotland (CCHAS)
Aim and Purposes
The purpose of the organisation is to further Christian religion by the practice of teaching and demonstrating spiritual understanding and spiritual healing.
Objectives and Activities
As the Scottish arm of the Corinthian Church and Healing Association the CCHAS is committed to enabling as many people as possible to worship at our church, to avail themselves of our healing services and become part of the spiritual community.
When planning our activities for the year we have considered public benefit and as such have sought to provide the local community with services such as worship and prayer, demonstrations of mediumship and spiritual healing.
Achievements and Performance
The Braes Spiritualist Church is opened to the public generally the first Sunday of each month and we are pleased with the average monthly attendance of over thirty people. The Spiritual healing part of our service has also become more popular during the last year.
We are further pleased that our membership has grown. In response to this we now offer spiritual healing development classes currently running bi- weekly.
For those who are fully certificated and wish to further their development, we also provide monthly classes in varying forms of spiritualism.
We organised our first charity event on February 2023 in aid of The Scott Martin Foundation raising a massive £1000.00. Our Charity Event in March 2024 we raised £1500.00 for Maggie’s Centre based at Forth Valley Hospital. The Maggie’s Centre is a holistic environment for patients with varying forms of cancer giving support throughout their treatment and beyond. Our 2025 we again raised £1500.00 for Falkirk & District Association Mental Health which was well received as they do great work for all age groups and different types of Mental Health within the Falkirk area, again a local charity.
Volunteers
We always appreciate people that walk through our church doors and thank them for not only their attendance but helping set up our monthly meetings, bake a cake, donate a prize for our event. It’s what keeps our doors and charity going.
Trustees
We always welcome new Trustees and offer advice and guidance of what being a “Trustee” entails and the huge responsibility, co-operation and commitment of the role and the importance of keeping within the Polices, Procedure and Practices that OSCR expects of our Charity and Charitable Status which is important to the church.
Financial Review
Total receipts for the year are £2,005.00, £1,300.00 was donated to Maggies Centre and there were £310.49 expenses leaving a cash surplus for the year of £394.51, closing year bank balance of£2,600.35
