Toryglen Community Youth Project SCIO exists to advance health, wellbeing and community development by providing free, inclusive and accessible facilities and activities for children, young people and families in Toryglen and the wider Southside of Glasgow. We manage the Geoff Shaw Community Centre as a long term community asset and deliver over 50 hours per week of free activity including youth work, sport and physical activity, disability focused programmes, arts, food provision and cycling initiatives. All provision is free at the point of access, removing financial barriers and ensuring inclusion for those affected by poverty, inequality and social isolation.

Objectives: 4 The organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 The advancement of health through the provision of structured activities 4.2 The advancement of public participation in sport, through the provision of accessible services 4.3 The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. This will be focused on younger people within the Toryglen area and wider Southside of Glasgow.
