The trustees present their Report and Accounts for the Period Ended 31 May 2023
Structure, Governance and Management
Parker Linden Arts is registered as a Scottish charity and is governed by its constitution. It recruits new trustees if that person is sympathetic with the objects and work of the charity and has an interest in the local community.
Objectives and Activities
Gold PLATED intends to run a theatre arts hub from which it will provide learning, education, therapeutic arts, and development sessions for people of all ages and abilities. This includes development of performances and production associated with theatre arts as well as offering a performance venue and creative hub for the community and wider audiences.
These activities will help achieve the charitable purposes by:
• Providing facilities that make theatre arts, theatre arts education, theatre arts productions and events and theatre arts therapy available and accessible to local people regardless of their age, circumstances,
background or location - especially given the rurality of the Moray area.
• Providing high quality learning and development opportunities to communities, groups and individuals that face barriers to participation, for example through hardship, incapacity, or exclusion.

Offer learning and development opportunities that inspire individuals

advance to advance their life, work, and recreational achievements.
Achievements and Performance
During the accounting period, the charity was instrumental in facilitating a project funded by ESF through Moray Council (Moray Pathways). Through the All In A Day's Work project, the charity engaged Lossie Entertainment Academy to work closely with unemployed people in Moray, using performing arts and creative industry techniques, to remove the physical, and emotional barriers they face, when looking for employment, and/or training. Since the project finished, the charity has been working closely with Moray Pathways to create possible funding avenues to continue the project.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner:
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) 2005 Act and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Independent Examiner's statement:
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.

These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordance with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended).

6. Related Party Transactions
During the year, the Chairperson of the charity was paid to deliver the All in a Day's Work Programme. Total remuneration for delivery of this programme was £60,920. This was agreed by both OSCR, in line with the constitution of the charity, and the charity's sole funder, Scottish Government.
In addition, Lossie Entertainment Academy, a company of whic is a director, was employed to deliver the All in a Day's Work programme. Total funds paid to Lossie Entertainment Academy in the year were £42,882, all of which were to cover costs associated with delivering the project. No management fee was paid to the company.
There were no other related party transactions during the year (2021: Nil).
