The trustees present their report and financial statements for the year ended 28 February 2026.

Obj•ctiv¢s and activities
The Trust aims to provide opportunities for young p8ople, of all abilities, and from all walks of lrfe, to reach their full
potential, especAally those with the drive and delerrnination to achieve a better oulcorne for themselves.
The Trusf5 objects are widely drawn but have been prirnaiily for the improvements in, accessibility to, and
promotion and support of partiapation in sports and leisure pursurts in particular, for all in the United Kingdom. The
lunds are wholly unreslricled.
The polictes adopted in furtherance of these objects are to hold the Tiusl funds and Ihe income thereof in trust and
to 8pply both the income and capital reserve in such proportion as Ihe tru51ees see fft.

28 Awards were approved in the above period across a variety of Sectors. The TTuslees meet quartedy lo discuss
all applications made and dècide which best meets the ethos of the Ttusl's objectives and assessment crilefia.

Financial review
11 is the policy of the Trust that unre51ri¢ted funds which have not been designated for a specific use should be
invested in a suitable investment vehicle lo generate an annual incom8. During the year. the Trust received
notification that their inve$tm&nt advisors were no longer going to hold portfolios below £250.CKXJ. Consequenlly the
investment portfolio was cashed in at no cost lo the Twst and funds transferred into a high rale charity sawngs
a￿unt.
The Iruslees also agreed liquid funds should be Maintained al a level equivalent to between six and hvelve monlhs
expenditure. The Iruslees consider that reservès at this level will ensure that, in the event of a significant drop in
fvnding, Ihey will be able to continue the Trust's current activities while ¢onsideralion is given lo ways in which
addrt¢onal ￿ndS may be raised. This level of resetves has been maintained throughout the perK)d.
The net assets of the Trust al 28 Febiuary 2026 stood at £209.35212025- £188,396}.
Major risks
The Ituslees have assessed the major risks to which the Trust is exposed, and are satisfied that systems are in
place lo rniligale exposure to the major risks.
Structure. governan¢e and management
The Trust wa5 founded by a Trust Deed d81ed 28th March 2019 and was registered a registered charty, SC050433,
with effect from 3 September 2020.

experience required to run a charity.

My examination is carried out in accordance wf(h Regulation 11 of the Charili&s AccoLinls (Scollandl Regulations
20[￿. An examination includes a raview of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the
financial slalements presented with those records. It also indudes consideration ol any unusual items or disclosu￿$
in the financial statements. and seeking explanations from the trustees conceming any such matters. The
procedures undertakèn do not provide all thè evidence that would bè required in an audit and consequently I do nol

Scottish Charrty Regulator and its registered number is SC050433 The Trusfs registered address is JRW
Hogg & Thorbum, Riverside House, Ladhope Vale, Galashiels, TD1 1BT.
1.1 A¢¢ounttng convention
The financial statements have baen prepared under the historical cAJst convention unless otherwise specAfied
wrthin these accounting policie$ and in accordance wtth United Kingdom A(￿untIng Standards, including
Financi81 Reporting Standard 102. 'The Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the United Kingdom and
Republic of Ireland, I'FRS 102.1 (United Kingdom Generally Accèpted Accounting Pr8cli¢el, the Statement of
Recornrnended Practice ISORPI 'Ac¢ounting and Reptsrting by Charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable In the UK and Republi¢ of Ireland IFRS 1021,,
the Charities and Trustee Inveslrnenl (Scollandl Act 2005 and the Charities AC￿VnIS IScolland} Regulations
2006 {as arnended}.
Thé p￿paratIOn of finaneial statements requires the use of certain critical accounting estimates. It also
requires trustees to exercise their judgement in the procèss of applying the a¢counting policies. Use of
8V8ilable information and application ol judgement are inherent in the formation ol estimates. Actual
outwtnes in the future could differ from such estimates.The Trust is a Public Benefit Enlty as defined by FRS
102.

1.2 Going con¢em
Al the time ol approv¢ng the fin8nci81 slalements, the trustees have a reasonab￿ expectation that the Trust
has adequate reSoU￿S lo continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus Ihe Iruslees
continue lo adtspt the 90ing concern basis ol accounting in preparing the financial statements.
1.3 Charltsble funds
Unrestricted fund5 8re available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtheran￿ of their charitable
objectNes.
Restricted fvnds are subject to specific conditions by donors as to how Ih9y may be used. There are currenlly
no restricted funds.
1.4 Incow
Incorne is recognised when the Tiusl is kgally entitled to (( after any performance conditions have been met,
the amounts Can be measured reliably. and it is probable that income will be received.
C8$h donations are recognised on receipt. Othef donations are recognised once the Trust has been notified ol
the donalion, unless performancè conditions require deferral of Ihe arnounl. Income tax recoverable in relalion
lo donations received under Gift Aid of deeds ol covenant is ¥ecognised at the bme of the gift aid claim.
Legacies are recognised on receipl or ollierwise If the Trust has been notifièd ol an impending distribution. the
amounl is known, and receipt is expected. If the amount is not known. the legacy is treated as a conb'ngenl
asset.

1.5 Expendituro
Liabilities are recognised as resources expended as soon as there 15 a legal or constructive obligation
committing Ihe Trust to the expendrture. All expenditure is accounled for tsn an a￿rualS basis. Irrecoverable
value added tax is charged against the t2legory of resources expended for which il is incurred.
Sponsorships payable are payments made lo third parties in the furtherance of Ihe charrtable objectives of th8
Trust. These are accounted for where either the trustees have agreed to pay Ihe granl without condition and
the recipient has a reasonablè expectation that they will receive a grant, or any condition attaching lo the
grant is ouiside the control of tt)e Tnjst.
Management and administralNe wsls a￿ induded in charitable activity costs.
Govemance costs comprise all costs involving Ihe public accountsbility of the Twsl and rts compliance with
regulation and good practice. These costs relate to accounting fees. There is no apportionment of overhead
¢tssts.
1.6 Non-current investsn•nts
Fixed asset investmenls are initially measured at transactKJn price excluding Iransath'on costs. and are
subsequently measured al fair value at eath reporting date. Changes in fair value are recognised in net
incomellexpendilurel for the year. Trans8cbon costs are expensed as incurred.
1.7 Inventories
Inventories ar8 stated al the lower of cost and estimaleLI selling price less ojsts lo complete and sell. Item5

Nel iealisable value is the e51im8ted selling price less all estimated costs of completion and costs to be

1.8 Cash and cash equivalènts
Cash and cash gquivalenis include cash in hand and balances with banks.
1.9 Financial instruments
The Trust has elected to apply the provisions of Section 11 '8asic Financial Instrumènts, and Section 12
'Other Finan¢ial Instruments Issues, of FRS 102 to all ol 115 finan¢ial instrurnenl5.
Finanual instruments are recwnised in the Trusvs balan￿ sheet whèn the Tru51 becomes party lo the
ntractual provisions of thè instrument.
Finanaal asset5 and liabilities are offset. wrth the net amounts presented in the financi81 statements. when
there is a legally enforceable right to sel off the ￿cOgniSed amounts and there is an inlenlion lo settle on a nel
basis or to realise the assèt and settle Ihe liability simLJltaneously.

Basic financial assets. whid) indude trade and other receivables and cash and bank balances, are initially
measured at transaction price induding transaction costs and are subsèquently carried al amortised cost
using the effective interest method unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the
