CONSTITimoN
With effect from 2n¢ September 2020. Shining Stars ASN Theatre School. known a5 Shining Stars has
had legal status of a Scottish Charitable Incofporated Organisation ISCIOI. operating under Scottish
Charity Number SC050431 and is solely regulated by the Office of the Scottish Charity
Re8ulatorlOSCRI. Shining Stars Theatre School is governed by a constitution which remains the
same as that submitted during the SCIO registrètion pr(Kess.
The organisation is overseen by Trustees in line with the tem)s of the Constitution.
APPOINTMENT OF TRUSTEES
Trustees are appointed in line with the constitution
CHARITABLE PURPOSE
To advance the health. relieve the needs and provide facilities and activitie5 With the object of
improvin8 conditions of life of children with additional supp)rt needs and their families in the
central belt of Scotland. The advancement of the arts. heritage. culture and science.
The provision of recreational facilities or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of
improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilitie5 or activilies are primarily
intended. The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health. disability, financial hardship or
other disadvantage.
In furtherance of these objectives, Ihe organisation will provide a safe, managed and stimulating
environment in which children and adult5 With additional support needs IASNI can feel happy and
secure, encoura8e the emotional, social, physical. creative and intellectual development of the
children and adults, ￿speCt and promote the indNidual wishes of the parentlcarers, children. staff
and volunteer5.
SUMMARY OF MAIN AcfiviTIES
Shining Stars offers to children, young people and adults with a wide range of additional support
needs. drama. musical theatre. sensory workshops. drama therapy, dance and movement, sensory
drama. relèxation and mindfulness, Makaton choir. adult S￿la1 club and holiday camps.
The past year has been successful and we have welcomed new clients
FUNDING
We are currently increasing the numbers of participants to our classes and this has
increased our turnover. we do fund raise. which has also proved very lucrative and still
vigorously pursue funding from our local authority, The National Lottery and various other
charitable trusts. Our Corporate and Public donations have increased. In this financial year
the organisation had a deficit of £10,156 However, £30,OCM) was received from the Postcode
Lottery just at the beginning of the new financial year and had been ear-marked for
payments pertaining to the financial year 2024 and is unrestricted. Another donation of
£5.(K)O wa5 received from Miller Fabrications in the name of
who sadly passed away in early 2023.
