Scottish Coastal Rowing continues to support it’s member clubs across Scotland to encourage coastal rowing, with a record number of clubs paying the voluntary membership fee again this year. Whether it is providing assistance on the build of a new skiff, providing training for new coxes or organising a first regatta, SCR is approachable and able to assist. We have been continuing our focus this year on training and development following the success of the 5 th SkiffieWorlds held in Stranraer in July 2025. Scottish Coastal Rowing has supported a large number of Regattas across the country, either by providing time keeping and umpiring assistance or supplying equipment and turning buoys. Most of these events are operating at capacity and the atmosphere is unvariably fun and friendly as well as being intensely competitive on the water. There has also been a focus on non competitive longer distance touring type events, giving rowers the opportunity to explore the coastline.
