Govemanee and Management The eharity is a Scottish charitab Incorporated Organisalion. 11 is govemed by ils constitution which was adopted on 24th Jufy 2020 and registered as a chanty since 241h July 2020 Trustees Recrultment & Appointment The Iruslees were those appointed lo Office Bearer roles al the AGM in 2019. Specifically, the chair and secretary were appointed in 2019 and remained in these roles.. The number of office bearers represent the minimum requiied. Appointment and removal are in accordance with the Whilhorn Heritage Constitution. which requires Ihal appointment Is approved by majority agreement of the existing Iruslees and removal by the Majority agreement of olhers. Oblectives and Actlvlties Charitable Purposes The advancement of education and training for children and adults in Whithorn To promote lor the public benefit In lthOrn the preservation Iwhelher wholly or in partl of buildings and other structures of hislonc andlor architectural significance located within lthOrn and such other buildings or other structures as may be acquired by the Chanty by way of long-temi lease. oulnghl gift or purchase The advancement of citizenship or community development Aehiovements and Pèrformanc• As we are aware we have been through some difficult limes over the past 2 years with covid 19 which has affected the charity's ability lo fund raise and even operate. VlthOM Heritage was originalty formed lo save and restore the Whithorn Old Town Hall, bul due lo adjoining land being purchased by another charity or trustee of that charity this then prevented the disabled access to the building which then prevented our fvture plans. We therefore since have changed our Charity's purpose which strengthens lIOrn Heritage as a charity for the coming years As you can see from the accounts. we held a few fundraising events such as Old Gaol Ghost Challenge a sleep over In the cells and a bingo night al the community centre lo raise fund5. Covid hil shortly after and fundraising events become an Impossibility. however we still managed to gain funds from the National Lottery and also during lockdown. from Tesco's bag for life for out Whithorn Heritage Metal Detecling Club. We feel the charity has faced very difficult limes during the last year, and with limited ftjnds al such an initial stage we have been very lucky lo survive the pandemic, with our decision lo wail and see what the UK Govemment advised or was advising al the lime

Respgctlve responsibllities of trustees and examinèr The charity's Iruslees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Tru51ee Investment (Scollandl 2005 Act and the Charities Accounts (Scollandl Regulations 2006. The charity Ifustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 1011 Ildl of the Accounts Regulations does not apply It is my responsibility lo examine the accounts as required under section 4411 Ilcl ol the Act and lo state whether particular matters have come lo my allenlion. Basls of Independent examiner's statement My examination Is carried out In accordance with the Regulation 11 of the 20C6 Accounts Regulations An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charty and a comparison ol the aOUntS presented with those records 11 also includes consideration of any unusual items 01 disclosures in the accounts. and seeks explanations from the trustees coneerning any such matters The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts. Independent gxamln8r's statemènt In the course of my examination. no matter has come to my attention other than that disclosed below. which 9ives me reasonable cause lo believe that in any material respect. the requirement lo keep accounting records in accordance with Section 41111 lal of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulation and, lo prepare accounts which accord with the aecounting records and ¢omply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. have not been mel 2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order lo enable a proper understanding of the accounts lo be reached. The matter that has corne lo my attention is that after the period end dale the charity Trustees have taken the deci510n lo close the charity.
