||The Women’s shed seek to encourage women to have access to projects using
arts & crafts. This includes and is not limited to t-shirt printing, cup printing,
pyrography, sewing, knitting and other projects. This allows us to make items we
can sell and supports the sustainability of the group. We operate in an area
where many of our group members experience poor physical and mental health
and many group members are in unpaid career roles. The group offers a chance
to take a break and learn a new skill. As well as this the group takes into
’|
||consideration the environment, and whilst helping tackling climate change isnt
our main purpose, everything we do attempts to use old materials that would
typically end up in landfill.|

## **Achievements and performance**

|**Summary of the main achievements**
**of the charity during the financial**
**period**|We remained at low capacity due to COVID restrictions and social
distancing. We stayed in touch with our members through telephone,
social media and email. Due to unforeseen circumstances of ill health
and bereavement we have focused our attention on supporting our
members during this difficult year. We enjoyed a visit to an arts & crafts
fair in November. We could not open on both days per week due to
personal circumstances in the group
Our income this year was nil. Expenditure for the year was £1361 or
Equipment & Resources and a withdrawal of £806, which was withdrawn
as we closed our bank account during this year with a view to opening a
new bank account. This proved problematic due to various issues with
banks and signatories, however the balance withdrawn will be paid into
a new account as soon as it is opened. The balance at the end of this
financial year was nil, due to the closure of the bank account.|

**INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE WOMENS SHED Scottish Charity Number SC050274**

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31[ST] March 2022 **,** which are set out on the attached pages

## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner**

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

## **Basis of independent examiner’s statement**

My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and the seeking of explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

## **Independent examiners’ statement**

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

- 1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements

 - to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and

 - to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations

have not been met; or

- 2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
