Activities and Achievements

Financial Review

The Trustees received donations amounting to £6,755 (2024: £6,183) from individuals and churches during the year to 31 March 2025. We received donations of £1,431 for our national gatherings. We also received a grant of £4,000 from 24-7 Prayer International. We applied for a number of grants during the year and were awarded £17,500 from external bodies. This is for the purpose of employing staff. During the financial year we began employing Rachel Dhillon as Co-ordinator on one day per week. This required setting up payroll and a pension scheme.

Costs of charitable activities amounted to £13,611 (2024: £7,854) leaving a balance of unrestricted funds of £28,433 (2024: £8,983) on 31 March 2025. The Trustees are grateful for financial support from individuals and churches during the year.

Reserves

The Trustees continue to seek to build funds to enable the charity to employ staff to develop the work of 24-7 Prayer in Scotland. Considerable success has been achieved with pledges, but we need more funds to allow us to progress this plan. Reserves held at the year-end are sufficient to cover immediate costs anticipated in 2025/26.

The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above. Signed on behalf of the charity’s trustees

| report on the accounts of 24-7 Prayer Scotland ale) (SCO50246) for the year ended 31 March 2025 which are set out on pages 5 to 7.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of ; the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

Basis of independent examiner’s statement

My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently | do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

Independent Examiner’s Statement

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention

  1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:

  2. to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and

  3. to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations

have not been met, or

  1. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the

accounts to be reached.
