The charity has been set up to manage the club in the town of Kirkcudbright to provide recreational facilities related to the game of tennis. This benefits residents and visitors to the town and surrounding area. Through the playing of tennis members and visitors benefit from exercise with others in the open air which aids health and wellbeing through social contact. Members have access to book courts to play through an online system and there is the opportunity for visitors to book a session also. We offer social tennis sessions, walking tennis for the less mobile, participate in regional leagues, have club competitions and allow the local nursery access to the courts for play. Coaching is offered for those who wish, adults and juniors, and we offer the local primary school free coaching tasters also. The charity maintain the grounds and clubhouse, planning for the future needs of repairs and resurfacing.

Objectives: 4. The Organisation has been formed to benefit the community of players and supporters of the game of tennis who are resident in the town of Kirkcudbright and the surrounding area or who are occasional visitors to Kirkcudbright and the surrounding area (the 'Community'), with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. The Purposes of the Organisation are: 4.1 a. to provide recreational facilities for the benefit of the Community by providing and maintaining the physical infrastructure required for the game of tennis, and b. to promote and develop participation in the game of tennis by means of organising recreational activities for the benefit of all members of the Community. 4.2 To improve the quality of life for all members of the Community by participation in sporting activity. 4.3 To make a positive contribution to the health and well-being of all members of the Community including children, senior citizens and individuals suffering physical or mental impairment.
