## **Structure, Governance & Management** 

The charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) established in June 2020 and governed by its constitution.  On the 31 December 2020 the charity took over the assets and liabilities of Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts Football Club which was subsequently wound up. 

The structure of the charity consists of: 

- Members - who have the right to attend members' meetings (including any annual general meeting) and have important powers under the constitution; in particular, the members appoint people to serve on the board and take decisions on changes to the constitution itself; 

- The Board - who hold regular meetings, and generally control the activities of the organisation; for example, the board is responsible for monitoring and controlling the financial position of the organisation. The members of the board are charity trustees. 

The Board consists of up to 10 and no less than 5 charity trustees elected at the AGM or appointed by the Board to fill causal vacancies.  Up to 2 can be non member charity trustees co-opted by the board.

Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts Community Club is deeply committed to promoting football within the local community, delivering inclusive opportunities for all ages and abilities in a safe and supportive environment. The club’s purpose -driven approach centres on four core areas: 

## **Core Purposes** 

1. **Football Provision** – Offering accessible football opportunities for individuals of all ages and genders. 

2. **Financial Transparency** – Ensuring all income is reinvested solely into football-related initiatives. 

3. **Player Development** – Supporting and enhancing the growth of players at every level. 

4. **Community Engagement** – Advancing public health and social wellbeing through active participation in sport.

## **Key Activities** 

The club delivers a comprehensive range of programmes to meet the diverse needs of its members and the wider community: 

- **Mini-Kickers** (Ages 18 months – 4 years): Introducing toddlers to football through fun, engaging sessions. 

- **Fun Fours** (Ages 5 – 7): Developing basic skills through small-sided games. 

- **Team Football** (Ages 7 – Adult): Providing a full development pathway from grassroots to senior competitive teams, including the Premier Division of the East of Scotland Football League. 

- **Girls’ Football** : Promoting female participation through both recreational and team-based activities. 

- **Over 35s Football** : Supporting older players with competitive and social football opportunities. 

- **Walking Football** : Encouraging individuals aged 50+ to stay active in a relaxed, sociable setting. 

- • **Holiday Programmes** : Offering engaging football camps during school holidays for young people across Fife. 

All programmes contribute towards achieving Scottish Government physical activity targets, encouraging healthy lifestyles and community connection.

Year ending 31 July 2024 

## **1.  Accounting Policies** 

These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts & Payments basis in accordance with:- 

(a) The Charities & Trustee Investment Act (Scotland) Act 2005, and (b) The Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). 

Income and expenditure is recognised when received or disbursed. 

The Charity maintains:- 

(a) A general unrestricted fund for the day-to-day running of the charity which is expendable at the discretion of the management committee in furtherance of the charity’s objects, and 

(b) A number of restricted funds that consist of monies received from sponsors which relate to a specific project and are donated to fund a particular purpose (see note 3). 

## **2. Trustee Remuneration & Expenses** 

Under the authority of clause 78 of the constitution of the charity one truste , was paid £60 (2023: £140) for strip framing. No expenses were paid to the trustees. 

## **3. Restricted Funds** 

During the year the charity maintained the following restricted income funds:
