## **Objectives and activities**

The principal object of the Church is the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with its Doctrinal Basis. The Church may also carry out other charitable purposes within the United Kingdom and in other parts of the world.

Other activities include:

-Preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ primarily, but not exclusively, among the Chinese community and other ethnic groups in Edinburgh and surrounding areas.

-Providing Christ-centred and church-focused programmes of worship and pastoral care.

-Meeting regularly for worship, prayer, fellowship, Sunday School, and addressing the spiritual needs of the community.

-Offering counselling services for Christians and members of the public who are interested in receiving Christian counselling.

-Functioning as an inter-denominational fellowship in which the denominational convictions of individual members are respected.

-Cooperating appropriately with other local churches and Christian organisations that share our general aims and evangelical faith.

Constitution of The Livingstone Christian Church Edinburgh

## **Trustee recruitment and appointment**

Reverend Ping Fai Leung, having received a calling from God, founded the Church on 17 June 2020. He subsequently invited devoted members to serve as the founding trustees.

Each trustee is appointed to serve a term of two years. Appointments may be renewed at the end of the first term. A trustee may not serve more than two consecutive terms, except in cases where no new candidates are available for election.
