Our governing document is our constitution. ointment stee5 The Chairman. Secretary and Treasurer will act as trustees of the club. Club committee meetings are usually held monthly. Trustees are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting by club members. All parents and coaches are members and able to stand for a position on the club committee. Objectives and ktlvltles Charitoble Pur ses The airn of Ferry Athletic Youth Footballclub is to promote the advancement of public participation in sport. specifically foolbaLi. The club will encourage and promote the development of football within the community of Dundee/Broughty Ferry/Monif1eth through the provision of youlh/child teams for boys and gir15 that foster fair pLay. participation for all, irrespective of ra￿. colour, religion, sex, SeXua￿tY or disabilities. Activities The club provides our players Wlth the opportunity to develop themselves through leaching the skills required lo participate in sport. ritness awareness and behaviour conformance. We believe that being a member of our club not only Improves their ability to play football but that interacting in a positive manner with peèrs ènhances young people's socia15 skill5. Training is trffered at least once a week for all teams along with either competitive or ehèllernge fixtures each weekend dependent on age. All coaches are strongly encouraged to enlist in regutar coach training. be it refresher or progres51ve courses. They are also encouraged to enlist in first aid training and governance workshops as appropriate. Trustees, annual report for the year ended 30th April 2026 Icontinued) Achievements and Performance A Large number of our coaches undertook SFA training courses and CPD activity during the year, as wellas additional coaches and parent helpers attaining the relevant first aid qualification. Having a qualified first aid trainer and a PVG signatory within the club has simpbfied the process of ensuring safeguarding criteria are met. We welcomed our new 2020 side into the fold this year In addition to this we were successful on the field with our 2008 and 2011 teams both winning 2 cup finat5. In addition. our 2009 and Eoio sides narrowly lost cup finals. We also acquired quality. portable 9 a side goaLs for use on the grass pitches at Claypotts Park. We continue to have a healthy and strtsng membership with teams competing at most age groups within the local area. The 2008 team's time as a youth team has come to an end after a very successful final season. Across the club there would appeaT to be definite signs of growth and improvement, cenlered on providing children and young people with a positive environment in which to excel in a way that is player focused. Future Activities We look forward to continuing to develop as a club, placing a strong emphasis on rmeeting and exceeding our charitable purposes. This inclLJdes introducing a new 2021 team to the club We are aLso actively investigating how to acquire sturdy portable 7 a side goals foT use on the grass pitches at Dawson Park, which will benefit a number of our teams. Getting proficient in our use of the SFA COMET system continues to provide some challenges. as does the lack of availability of SFA Coaching Courses. particularly in light of increasing requirements by the SYFA and DDYFA in this area. However. we remain fully Committed to working through these challenges in Drder to equip OLJr volunteer coaches to provide the best experience possible to our children and young people. Flnancial Revlew Our main source of funding is through donations from our players parents/guardians along with some gratefully received sponsoiship. The main expendilure continue5 to be the hire of training facib'tie5 and equipment kit COSts, all of which continue to rise. The main objective is to ensure that there are sufficient unrestricted reserves available to meet all of the club's obligation5.
