Co-Op Community Fund : Friends of Haughton park was delighted to again receive the support of the local co-op community fund.

This funded landscaping and planting around the new pump track… with more to come- we are incredibly grateful for this support!

Dog Poo Signs- Jodie Bews of Everlong Art designed some wonderful signs to encourage folks to pick up their dog’s mess-they are now installed. These were kindly supported by funding from Donside Community Council.

Are you passionate about our community and want to make a real difference locally?
FOHP is looking for enthusiastic new Trustees to join our team and help support the work of the charity.
We need new folk to get involved and take the charity and some exciting potential projects to the next level. Without new people we may struggle to continue, which would be very sad, considering all we have achieved so far.
The charity started some 7 years ago to Protect, Promote and Enhance our beautiful local park. Since then, we’ve had a family fun day, held planting and pond dipping events, installed various information signs, and delivered the £300k Haughton Park Pump Track and All Ability Trail- which is free for all to use. All this work was carried out with just 4 Trustees, and the help of some willing volunteers. Just imagine what we could do with more people involved!

One of our dedicated original Trustees has moved on and others are looking to move on in the near future. Thankfully we’ve have recently welcomed 2 wonderful new Trustees who are raring to go, but we now need more new people with energy and enthusiasm to join our fun and friendly Trustees team.
By getting involved, you can: Help shape the future of our projects Support local initiatives and community wellbeing
Meet new people and gain valuable experience Give back to the place we all care about
We urgently need new people to come forward. Without additional Trustees it will become increasingly difficult for the charity to continue operating and maintaining projects, like the pump track, that so many people in the community enjoy.
Your support can help ensure these facilities remain open and available for everyone. Join our friendly. Fun group of Trustees!

Our Annual Accounts have reverted to Receipts & Payments format given we have income less than £250,000 this year – confirmed by OSCR, the Charities Regulator. We do, however, still have to show comparative figures.
Our Annual Report can revert to less formalised format also (as you can see)!

Account opened at the start of the financial year with £9,703.66 and closed at the end of the financial year with £7,394.50 Income for the year = £1,975.79 which comprised of donations of £1,647.36 and Grants of £328.43. Donations – many thanks to all who donated, most significant were Deeside Thistle, Gary Moyse, Fired Up Pizza and The Alford Bistro but thanks to all our supporters. Grants – many thanks to Donside Community Council for their grant which paid for litter pickers, hi-viz and gloves. Many thanks for this Financial Support

And Finally !
I take this opportunity to advise that I will be standing down as Treasurer (after almost 9 years) during 2026/27. It’s been a real pleasure and we have achieved a lot over that time – getting together, building relationships, setting up as a charity, achieving grant funding of over £320,000, building the pump track and more. I wish the group all the best for the future and will always be available for any queries and/or advice.
