Charitable purposes | The organisation has been formed to benefit those residing within the postcode area PH26 3 (the _‘Community’) with the following purposes: + the advancement of education of the Community about its environment, culture, heritage and/or history * the advancement of citizenship or community development + the advancement of arts, heritage, culture or science through appropriate media + the advancement of environmental protection or improvement including preservation, sustainable development and conversation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community and/or the reservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic or other importance to the Community Summary of the main activities 1. Collecting locai information relevant to the culture, heritage, economy and in relation to these objects well-being of the community. 2. Managing events to encourage participation, awareness and enjoyment of community, environment, culture and heritage. 3. Facilitating social interaction through provision of space, opportunities and through partnerships with other organisations. 4. | centre and achieved the accolade of having Scotland’s fastest | |||

| We launched our 24/7 “what’s on” information screen, run | |||
| weekly IT help desk sessions. Making use of Scottish Land | |||

Nature and purpose of funds
The Grantown Hub
The Grantown Society purchased the building last year and have received grant funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to assist with the renovations of the property.
Cycle Scheme
This fund relates to the Wheels Around Grantown festival featuring various cycling related activities. Funding for this is received from The Cairngorm National Park Authority and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Fiddler of Strathspey
This fund relates to amounts received that aid the running of the Fiddler of Strathspey Festival that is held annually.
The Badenoch & Strathspey Music Fund This is for the running of a separate music festival held annually. Funding for this was recieved as a donation from a similar music festival that closed down.
